The current picture
The Canada–Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) stopped accepting new applications in 2023. Some people who arrived under CUAET and meet specific criteria can still apply to extend an open work permit. People outside Canada need to assess ordinary entry, family or immigration options rather than relying on CUAET.

Family sponsorship
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may sponsor eligible spouses, partners or dependent children under the regular family class regardless of the end of CUAET.
Other work, study or permanent residence
Existing work experience, a job offer, language ability or admission to study may open regular routes, depending on the specific program and eligibility.

- 03For a new application from abroad, identify an actual open immigration category first.
